With the snow falling this week the scene outside is definitley looking Christmasey, and rather beautiful in Edinburgh! So with Christmas and shopping fresh in our minds it is worth while the journey to Anstruther to check out Lovely Pigeons Christmas pop up shop to find that something special!

We are very excited to announce that we have been invited to take part in this year's Selvedge Christmas fair on Saturday 4th December 2010 at St Augustine's Church Hall, London from 11am - 5pm. A lovely way to get in the Christmassy spirit, so if you can please come along and visit us for a friendly chat (and possibly a mince pie!)

With the cold weather looming it's that time of year to get all homely and get ready for hibernating indoors. The idea of refreshing the home and redecorating is always a fun way to approach the winter months, especially when it comes to kids bedrooms. Check out Style Guru, Sonia Murton's article from 'The Guide' (a local guide from my home town) for some tips and advice. We're loving these mushroom wall vinyl's from Dotmaison a great tool for some imaginative play!

It is a very exciting week here at Elsie Dodds as we have just been nominated for the 'Elle Decoartion British Design awards 2010' and are thrilled to be in the category of 'Best British pattern 2010'. It is the last week of the International Festival here in Edinburgh, so a last chance to see some of the great things that have been taking place this month. It was great to find the Elsie Dodds Alphabet cushions had been featured in the last issue of 'The List' the best guide to all that is happening in Edinburgh and Glasgow!

Another lovely blog post from the the creative team at Luma Creative who's theme is always based at the letter L. This week they have featured the Elsie Dodds L cushion and upon looking at older posts I found this great holiday letter L by experimental typographer, graphic designer and print maker Sarah Hyndman. Some great type to feast the eyes on!

We were very fortunate to meet the talented designers that are Bold and Noble at Pulse who have written a great blog about the show and the Elsie Dodds 'Alphabet Cushions'. Bold and Noble create beautiful affordable prints onto recycable card for peoples' homes. We particulary love this alphabet print!

It has been an exciting week in London and the talented crew at foundlight productions made this great short piece to show case the 'Alphabet Cushions' to all the visitors at Pulse, which we thought we would share with you - Enjoy!

The last few days have been spent in London's 'Earls Court' setting up for PULSE 2010.
